Chef Charles has started his culinary journey at the tender age of 16. He has travelled around the globe studying their food and culture. His past work experiences were with well-known restaurants in Singapore. Chef Charles is currently a free lance Chef whose projects include Michelin pop-up events.

The constant routine of work made Chef question his own identity in the culinary world, which sparked a change in direction. He started “The Lost of Hakka” project. In collaboration with the oldest Hakka restaurant and Hakka association in Singapore, he is embarking on a lengthy research to discover authentic Hakka cuisine.

In a world, where fast food and convenience often take center stage, we are sometimes forgetting the rich tapestry of flavors and stories that make our heritage.
